IJ16199: Memory leak in amqzlaa0 process if events are enabled with topicaliases

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The queue manager supports different types of events(e.g.
  Configuration events). If events are enabled then the event
  messages are put to specific event queues depending on the type
  of the event generated.  If these events are redirected to a
  different destination using a topic alias(e.g.
  SYSTEM.ADMIN.CONFIG.EVENT alias pointing to a topic) then a
  continual increase in memory usage is observed in amqzlaa0
  process.
  

Local fix

• Disable events or use the default system event queues to store
  event messages

  Users with one or more events enabled and a QALIAS to a topic is
  defined for the event queue

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  When trying to publish an event message to the topic that is
  used as an alias for the event queue, MQ  allocates some memory
  to store message properties. This memory was not freed
  correctly.
  

Problem conclusion

• The MQ event message code has been modified to ensure that
  allocated memory is correctly freed after the event message had
  been published.
