Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
This issue affects users of the WebSphere MQ Classes for Java
who are attempting to construct a PCFMessage from an MQMessage

    This includes users of:

    - The WebSphere MQ V7.0.1, V7.1, V7.5 Classes for Java
    - The WebSphere MQ V7.0.1, V7.1, V7.5 Resource Adapter.
    - The WebSphere Application Server V7.0 and V8.0 WebSphere MQ
    messaging provider.
    - The WebSphere Application Server V6.1 WebSphere MQ messaging
provider who have configured the WebSphere variable
    MQ_INSTALL_ROOT to point to a WebSphere MQ V7.0.1, V7.1, V7.5
    installation.

    Platforms affected:
All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows) +Java
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
When a user attempted to programmatically construct a PCF
message from the contents of an MQMessage using the
WebSphere MQ classes for Java, the MQException was thrown
because an incorrect backing datastructure was used when
attempting to modify the 'MQCFGR' PCF parameter
associated with the PCF message. This is as a result of an
incomplete fix for the issue described by IC89595.

Problem conclusion

  • The WebSphere MQ Classes for Java have been modified to
used the correct backing datastructure to interact with
    the 'MQCFGR' PCF parameter.
