Error description
The WebSphere MQ V7.5 classes for Java OSGi bundle: com.ibm.mq.osgi.java_<version_number>.jar is loaded into an OSGi environment. An application running inside the same OSGi environment attempts to use the WebSphere MQ Programmable Command Format (PCF) interface to interact with WebSphere MQ. When the application tries to use one of the PCF classes, a ClassNotFoundException is thrown.
Local fix
Add the PCF jar com.ibm.mq.pcf.jar to the Bundle-Classpath
Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: This issue affects users of the WebSphere MQ V7.5 classes for Java OSGi bundle who have applications that make use of the WebSphere MQ Programmable Command Format (PCF) interface. Platforms affected: MultiPlatform **************************************************************** PROBLEM SUMMARY: The WebSphere MQ V7.5 classes for Java OSGi bundle: com.ibm.mq.osgi.java_<version_number>.jar contains the file com.ibm.mq.pcf.jar, which holds the classes that implement the WebSphere MQ Programmable Command Format (PCF) interface. Applications running inside an OSGi environment that wish to make use of the PCF interface need to ensure that the OSGi bundle loads this bundle. However, the Bundle-ClassPath statement in the MANIFEST.MF file for the WebSphere MQ classes for Java V7.5 OSGi bundle did not contain an entry for com.ibm.mq.pcf.jar. This meant that OSGi environments did not include com.ibm.mq.pcf.jar on the CLASSPATH.
Problem conclusion
The Bundle-Classpath statement in the MANIFEST.MF file for the WebSphere MQ V7.5 classes for Java OSGi bundle has been updated to include an entry for com.ibm.mq.pcf.jar. --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following: Version v7.5 -------- -------------------- Fix available in: 7.5.0.3 The latest available maintenance can be obtained from 'WebSphere MQ Recommended Fixes' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006037 If the maintenance level is not yet available information on its planned availability can be found in 'WebSphere MQ Planned Maintenance Release Dates' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006309 ---------------------------------------------------------------
