Error description

  • amqrmppa crashes in zstXAClose_int method while attempting to
    end the conversation.
    
    A FDC is cut by the amqrmppa process showing the following:

    Comment1          :- Access Violation at address 0000029C when
    writing

Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
    Users of WebSphere MQ using the XA functionality of the queue
    manager.
    
    Platforms affected:
    All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows)
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
    While attempting to end conversation, zstXAClose_int code was
    accessing a pointer which was set to NULL. This NULL pointer
    dereferencing caused access violation in amqrmppa process.
    

Problem conclusion

  • zstXAClose_int code is modified such that the null pointer is
    not dereferenced.
