APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When starting a WebSphere MQ V7.5 queue manager from a script
  which explicitly starts the command server (strmqcsv), you may
  see an FDC file with the following information:

  Probe Id :- KN246002
  Component :- kpiAncillaryProcessStartup
  Program Name :- amqzxma0
  Major Errorcode :- ocmRC_CSV_ALREADY_STARTING
  Probe Description :- AMQ8192: WMQ command server already
  starting
  

Local fix

• It is no longer necessary to start the command server
  manuallywith the queue manager. Instead, issue the
  runmqsc command 'ALTER QMGR SCMDSERV(QMGR)' and the queue
  manager will start thecommand server automatically with the
  queue manager and shut it down when the queue manager ends,
  avoiding the FDC.
  

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  All users of WebSphere MQ for MultiPlatforms Version 7.5.0
  issuing strmqcsv whilst the queue manager is starting and is
  itself starting the command server.

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  A probe KN246002 FDC from function kpiAncillaryProcessStartup,
  with major error code ocmRC_CSV_ALREADY_STARTING may be
  reported, if a user attempts to start the command server
  whilst it is already starting. An FDC is inappropriate and the
  attempt should simply be ignored.
  

Problem conclusion

• The particular FDC has been suppressed.
