Error description
After installing WebSphere MQ (WMQ) Client v7.1 and MQ Explorer support pack MS0T v7.1, FDCs are generated with a read access violation each time the MQ Explorer is started. MQ Explorer will start, but the Navigator window may not show all entries. FDC shows: Probe Id :- XC130031 Component :- xehExceptionHandler Process Name :- C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ Explorer\MQExplorer.exe Probe Description :- AMQ6109: An internal WebSphere MQ error has occurred. Comment1 :- Access Violation at address 00000000 when reading An Unhandled Exception detected in process 3560, on thread 0x1124. Type: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (C0000005). Address: 001B:260A16FD. The thread could not read from memory address 0x00000000.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Users of WebSphere MQ Explorer on a system where WebSphere MQ Server is not installed Platforms affected: Windows **************************************************************** PROBLEM SUMMARY: When WebSphere MQ Explorer is launched, it checks for administrative access to WebSphere MQ Server. But when WebSphere MQ Server is not present this function fails with an FDC. The FDC is due to the accessing an invalid address.
Problem conclusion
