Problem summary


    

  • When the EC recieved an IPC message from an unknown process, it
logs diagnostic information and generates an FFST. When this
change was introduced in 5318 there was a coding error that
results in a NULL pointer in some cases, which causes the EC to
repeatedly abend

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Change the diagnostic code to remove the use of the pointer if
it is null.

    



Temporary fix


    

  • Restart the queue manager
