Error description
Message Service Client (XMS) .NET v2.0 application experiences an exception (IBM.WMQ.Nmqi.NmqiException) when connecting to a Queue Manager on an iSeries system. **************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere MQ v7.5, v7.1 and v7.0.1 .NET client connecting to iSeries queue manager Platforms affected: Windows **************************************************************** PROBLEM SUMMARY: While establishing the connection between WebSphere MQ .NET client and the iSeries queue manager, the .NET client expects data in ASCII format and the iSeries queue manager sends data in EBCDIC. Since the data received is not in the expected format the connection shuts down with MQRC_HOST_NOT_AVAILABLE error.
Problem conclusion
