Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
This issue affects users of the WebSphere MQ Explorer V7.0.1 and
    V7.1.

    Platforms affected:
    Linux (x86),Linux (x86-64),Windows

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
A thread synchronisation issue surrounding an internal data
structure used within the WebSphere MQ Explorer permitted
concurrent thread access to the data structure.

The consequence of this was that the list of queue managers to
be displayed within the WebSphere MQ Explorer may have ended up
as an empty list, even when there was previously queue managers
    displayed.

Problem conclusion

  • Thread synchronisation was enhanced around the access of the
internal data structure, which prevents further concurrent
    access.

In addition, additional trace points were also added to indicate
the state of the lock acquisition to assist with future
diagnostics of problems encountered in this area.
