Error description

  • Creating an FTE monitor using the fteCreateMonitor command
specifying a wildcard as part of the match parameter, e.g. -tr
"match,*.xml" to poll for xml files in a specific directory,
results in the variable ${FilePath{token=-3}} will not be
recognised in the destination path of the task definition file.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All users of WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition Version using
substitution variables in resource monitor transfer XML

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
In some situations it was possible for text to be split across
multiple nodes when parsing transfer XML. If the boundary of
such a split occurs within a substitution variable, the variable
will not be recognised when the resource monitor triggers.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been altered to ensure that text is not split
across multiple nodes when parsing transfer XML.
