Error description
The user data size -d option for strmqtrc should be either, -1, 0 or an integer greater than 15 as documented in the InfoCenter: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmqv7/ v7r0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.mq.amqzag.doc/fa16100_.htm When an incorrect value is entered, e.g., '-2', '$' etc., an error is not raised and trace files are generated. The value parsed will be the result of atoi().

Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Users who are using strmqtrc with the -d option may be able to generate traces with an invalid argument specified after -d. The number of message bytes traced will not be as the user expected. Platforms affected: All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows) **************************************************************** PROBLEM SUMMARY: The code that checked the argument parsed to the -d option was not strict enough and did not raise an error for some invalid arguments given to the '-d' option.
Problem conclusion
The code was updated so that if an invalid argument is given to the '-d' option of strmqtrc, a usage error is reported.
