Error description

  • WebSphere MQ v7 message conversion of string data fails with
    AMQ6047 going from CCSID 1251 to 819 ( 'Windows - Cyrillic' to
    'ISO8859-1 Western European' ).
    Conversion also fails from/to 819 for the following CCSIDs:
    x032D, 813,  ISO 8859-7 Greek/Latin

Local fix

  • Copy the 033304E3.tbl and 04E30333.tbl files from a WMQ v6.0.2+
    installation to the <MQ_INSTALL_ROOT>\conv\table folder; where
    <MQ_INSTALL_ROOT> is the root WMQ server installation directory.

    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
    A change was made at v7 to the way that conversion tables were
    issued for installation. This change did not take into account
    a number of conversion tables which had been issued at v6.
    

Problem conclusion

  • WebSphere MQ v7 was updated in order to ensure it has a complete
    set of conversion tables.
