Error description
Inquiring on character attributes of a z/OS queue manager using the inquire method from a Java client version 7.0.1.0 or later returns unconverted values for the attributes. This is a change in behaviour compared to previous versions.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: This issue affects all users of the WebSphere MQ v7 classes for Java version 7.0.1.0 or later trying to inquire character attributes of z/OS queue managers. Platforms affected: All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows) +Java **************************************************************** PROBLEM SUMMARY: Prior to version 7.0.1.0, any character attribute inquiries were returned converted to the local codepage. Changes in the 7.0.1.0 code meant that this was no longer the case for clients inquiring properties of z/OS queue managers.
Problem conclusion
A new version of the inquire method has been added. Where the already existing method now returns a byte array with unconverted character attributes, the new method returns a character array with the attributes converted - this matches the original behaviour.
