Error description

  • XMS .NET C# application puts messages onto a queue.  The
messages are greater than 64KB.  The messages are arriving onto
the queue in segments and each segment contains the same data.
The complete message never arrives on the queue, and there are
no errors or FDCs generated.

USERS AFFECTED:
This problem will be seen by XMS .NET applications while sending
messages larger than 64KB when connected to Queue Manager in
fully managed mode (XMSC.WMQ_CONNECTION_MODE=XMSC.WMQ_CM_CLIENT)

Platforms affected:

PROBLEM SUMMARY:
The message data for large messages is segmented when the .NET
client sends the data to the queue manager. This code contained
a logic error resulting in incorrect data being sent.

For messages larger than 64K the data of the first segment was
repeated in subsequent segments, resulting in the a corrupt
message being stored on the queue.

  • The segmentation logic in the .NET code was corrected.
