• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The behaviour encountered is that the JMS_IBM_MQMD_Encoding
  and JMS_IBM_MQMD_CodedCharSetId properties are set on the
  outgoing Java Message Service (JMS) message when the message is
  sent using the WebSphere MQ (WMQ) V7 classes for JMS to a WMQ V6
  queue manager.  The message is sent and the correct Encoding and
  CCSID in the MQMD of the message are set when the message is on
  the queue.
  
  However when the message is received from the V6 queue manager
  the JMS_IBM_MQMD_Encoding and JMS_IBM_MQMD_CodedCharSetId
  properties are set to their default values.

  USERS AFFECTED:
  This issue affects users retrieving the values for the
  properties JMS_IBM_MQMD_Encoding and
  JMS_IBM_MQMD_CodedCharacterSetId when using the WMQ 7 classes
  for JMS to receive messages from a WMQ V6 queue manager.
  
  Platforms affected:
  All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows) +Java

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  If the JMS_IBM_MQMD_Encoding and JMS_IBM_MQMD_CodedCharSetId
  properties are set on the outgoing JMS message and the message
  is sent, the correct Encoding and CCSID in the MQMD are seen
  when the message is on the queue. However on receiving the
  message the
  JMS_IBM_MQMD_Encoding and JMS_IBM_MQMD_CodedCharSetId properties
  are set to the default values (the values in RFH2).
  
  The MQMD is not getting propagated to the JMS properties on a
  receive of the message.
  

Problem conclusion

• The JMS_IBM_MQMD_Encoding and JMS_IBM_MQMD_CodedCharacterSetId
  are now set to the values in the message descriptor.
