Error description

  • V7 dspmqrte is using options (MQGMO_NO_PROPERTIES) that are not
valid for a v6 QMgr even though client connection to a v6 QMgr
is explicitly documented as supported.

Customer Symptoms:
AMQ8688: DSPMQRTE command has detected an unexpected error,
reason 2046 'MQRC_OPTIONS_ERROR'.  The v7 dspmqrte is run as a
client to a v6 QMgr; the error is reported following failure
 on a GET for a reply or report message.

All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows)

PROBLEM SUMMARY:
V7 dspmqrte was using options (MQGMO_NO_PROPERTIES) that are
not valid for a V6 queue manager even though client connection
to a V6 queue manager is explicitly documented as supported.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A check has been added to DSPMQRTE message processing so that
invalid options are not used when connected to V6 queue managers
