    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
The value of "Max Data Bytes Displayed" field in explorer
preferences was not being considered while browsing the message.

Problem conclusion

  • The WMQ V7 explorer code has been modified to take into account
"Max Data Bytes Displayed" field in the MQ Explorer preferences
while browsing the message from a queue.

However, new limits have been set on "Max Data Bytes Displayed"
and "Max Messages Browsed" fields as a precautionary measure to
    prevent performance related issues.

Under this apar, the value of "Max Data Bytes Displayed" has
been limited to 16384 bytes (default is 1000 bytes) and "Max
Messages Browsed" has been limited to 5000 messages (default is
    500 messages).

Along with the above changes, the default message scheme has
been updated to exclude Message data bytes. If users intend to
have their own message schemes which contain the ' Message data
bytes' property, then they should consider removing it if they
are dealing with many large messages because it could cause
performance implications. Moreover, the byte data can easily be
displayed by looking at the message properties window.
