PK68876: GIVE THE CACHER MODULE (PRERENDERING) THE ABILITY TO CORRECT ZERO-BYTE FILE COMPONENTS IN THE RESOURCES DIRECTORY

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If a run of the cacher module (prerendering) aborts incorrectly,
zero-byte file components may be written to the resources
directory. Subsequent runs of the cacher module will not
correct the zero-byte files because the files are only checked
    for creation date and existence.

Local fix

  • The zero-byte files may be manually deleted and the cacher
module run again to re-create the files.

Problem summary

  • OOM Caused 0k files to be created during prerendering, which
were not replaced by next run.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix
