Error description

  • The current correlation scheme in BPMN events does not allow for
event correlation in the following cases:
- When tracking groups are assigned to PRE and/or POST tracking
points of an activity, the tracking events emitted by those
tracking points can't be correlated to the activity events when
running a BPMN process containing this activity.
- In addition, there is no way to correlate interaction of BPMN
events with events emitted by components other than Business
Automation Workflow in Business Automation Insights.

Problem conclusion


    

  • A fix that enables the correlation of BPMN events in the
following ways will be included in a future version of Business
Automation Workflow:

- A specific activityRefId field is added to the PRE and POST
JSON tracking events attached to an activity so you can
correlate them with the events emitted for this activity.
- Specific span-id, parent-span-id, and trace-id fields are
added to the formatting of BPMN JSON events emitted to Business
Automation Insights so you can correlate them with events
emitted by components that Business Automation Workflow can
interact with.
