APAR status

• Closed as new function.

Error description

• *Error -3 getting information for parameter*
  When dsjob references variables in the param files that are not
  in the job.
  
  When there is a mismatch between the number of parameters in
  the job and the parameters in the param files referenced by
  dsjob, datastage generates the above error.
  
  This is by design to ensure that all values sent into dsjob are
  used.
  
  This request is to bypass the check that all of the parameters
  in the parameter file have a corresponding variable in the job
  design.
  
  This proves to be an advantage when there are many sequences or
  jobs that are called, but not all of them use the parameters in
  the parameter files.
  

Local fix

• modify the jobs/sequences so that all of the parameter entries
  in the parameter files are defined in the jobs/sequences
