APAR status

Error description

  • When updating the Data Rule  using IAAdmin command the
associated Data Rule definition's Short and Long description
fields are removed.

Local fix

  • Export both the Rule Executable and Rule Definition and import
the Rule Executable and then the Rule Definition

Problem summary

  • When updating an existing IA Data Rule using IAAdmin command,
the associated Data Rule Definitions Short and Long description
fields are going blank.

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed with APAR JR59326.
