APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • in 11.5 Data rule with java engine doesn't support  automatic
trimming of strings where as c++ engine does this.
Hence there would be inconistency in results in 912 and 115 as
c++ engine is default one in 912 where as java engine is default
in 11502

Local fix

  • work around is to use c++ engine for automatic trimming and if
java engine needs to be used data rules involving string data
should be modified by adding 'trim' function . Fix would be
aaiable in 11502ru10 , 11701

Problem summary

  • Data rules using Java Engine doesnt  support automatic trim of
string data where as C++ engine does

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed in 11.5.0.2 SP3
