APAR status

Error description

  • Incorrect or missing port numbers on DataStage client logons
when engine tiers are installed on differing ports

Local fix

  • User could modify the port# manually.

Problem summary

USERS AFFECTED:
Users who have two or more engine tier installs registered to a
domain, where the engine tiers are on different ports.
****************************************************************
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
 An incorrect or missing engine tier port number can be shown on
the DataStage client GUI logon dialogs.
****************************************************************
RECOMMENDATION:
Apply the fix to the services tier.
****************************************************************

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed the port search code to locate the correct engine tier
registration.
