APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When users have different ORC (or Parquet) files created
outside DataStage and these files do NOT follow the
filename-format specified in DataStage documentation, since all
these files are compressed special-format files, it is not
possible for multiple player processes to read the same file in
parallel.

After the installation of this APAR a sub-set of total-files
will be distributed (in the folder) to each of the player
processes, so that all the files in the folder would be read
concurrently by multiple players of the PX-job, when run with
multi-node-config.
