APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After configuring Information Server to use LDAP authentication
with Active directory, unable to create a new DataStage project.
 Fails with error  "DSR.ADMIN: Error creating a schema"

Local fix

  • When customers edits the UV_USERS file and creates a new record
with all lower case user ID, then customer is able to login and
create a new project.

Problem summary

  • When logged into Administrator with an Active Directory user,
"Error creating a schema" can be reported during DataStage
project creation.

Problem conclusion

  • Allow project creation when a user's Active Directory
attributes, sAMAccountName and uid, differ only in case.
