Error description
When importing metadata from IMAM/Oracle Connector, conecting to Oracle RAC, multiple assets are getting created. This is due to Oracle RAC connects to multiple Oracle hostnames while importing.
Local fix
N/A
Problem summary
During IMAM import/reimport , assets are not merged correctly if the source database is Oracle RAC. In case of RAC installation, same database can exist on mutliple hosts. As part of RAC (load balancing), Oracle connector is getting the metadata from the least loaded node. So, that was the reason for getting a different host name in a re-import scenario. Due to this, the following issues can be seen while saving the the metadata into a repository: 1)Delete-create scenario, on re-imports from same RAC server. 2)Duplication assets will be created for every host (exists in a RAC cluster), on individual (separate) imports from the same RAC server
Problem conclusion
Install the patch JR54557 to resolve the above mentioned issue
