APAR status

• Closed as documentation error.

Error description

• There is an incorrect specification in the Table called "Oracle
  data types and corresponding InfoSphere DataStage data types".
  This table is found in the section "Data type mappings from
  Oracle to InfoSphere DataStage" of the IBM InfoSphere
  Information Server Knowledge Center. The table incorrectly
  specifies that the Oracle Connector stores a multibyte CLOB into
   a LONGNVARCHAR column type. However, by design the Oracle
  Connector stores it into LONGVARCHAR instead of LONGNVARCHAR.
  

Local fix

• Change the column definition from LONGNVARCHAR into LONGVARCHAR.
  

Problem summary

• In the table called "Oracle data types and corresponding
  InfoSphere DataStage data types" there is a row where:
   Oracle data type  = CLOB multibyte
   InfoSphere DataStage SQL type = LONGNVARCHAR
   InfoSphere DataStage length = unset
   InfoSphere DataStage scale = unset
   InfoSphere DataStage extended = unset
  This row in the table should actually have LONGVARCHAR instead
  of LONGNVARCHAR.
  

Problem conclusion

• The v11.5 Knowledge Center has been changed.
  A note has been added to the v91 Knowledge Center.
