APAR status

Error description

  • In a Netezza Connector read job, if the selected column is not
    mentioned in the Columns tab, those columns will be dropped.
    However, if those dropped columns contain NULL value(s), the job
     may hang or abort.
    

Local fix

  • Make sure that all the selected columns in the SELECT statement
    are mentioned in the Columns tab of the Netezza Connector stage.
    OR
    Adjust the user defined SELECT query to select only those
    columns which are mentioned in the Columns tab of the Netezza
    Connector stage.
    

Problem summary

  • In a Netezza Connector read job, if the selected column is not
    mentioned in the Columns tab, those columns will be dropped.
    However, if those dropped columns contain NULL value(s), the job
    may hang or abort.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Code has been corrected to overcome this problem.
    

Temporary fix

  • Make sure that all the selected columns in the SELECT statement
    are mentioned in the Columns tab of the Netezza Connector stage.
    OR
    Adjust the user defined SELECT query to select only those
    columns which are mentioned in the Columns tab of the Netezza
    Connector stage.
