• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When we compare the two commands:
  
  dsjob -run -mode NORMAL <project> <job>
  
  dsjob -run -mode NORMAL -local <project> <job>
  
  The command with the -local when executing a job in a
  non-runable state takes two minutes to return the error to the
  command line.  The other command returns within 1-2 seconds.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  The dsjob command with the '-local' option exhibits a delay
  under a number of circumstances, particularly error
  conditions. In addition failures in the 'local' option
  resulted in a return code of 0.
  ****************************************************************
  RECOMMENDATION:
  The only fix is to apply the patch
  ****************************************************************
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix was made to the DSJOB command used by the '-local' option
  to bring it into line with DSRunJob (the non-local variant). The
   error code handling was also modified by changing the way the
  job was was instantiated.
