Error description

  • Using the Oracle CC Bulk to write OCI Direct Path may result in
    empty NCLOB columns

Local fix

Problem summary

  • When a CLOB or NCLOB exceeds a certain size, the contents of the
LOB column simply isn't there when the job completes.

Problem conclusion

  • The fix is that when using internal read buffer mode, the LOB is
     handled all in one piece.

Temporary fix

  • The issue is replicated when we include this storage clause for
LOB in the create table statement. For example,
LOB ("MESSAGE") STORE AS BASICFILE (ENABLE STORAGE IN ROW CHUNK
    8192 RETENTION)
We discovered that if the LOB is stored as SECUREFILE
(default on Oracle 12c) or the row chunk is larger (e.g., 16384)
    the issue goes away.
