Error description

  • fnuxi doesn't treat the next split field correctly.

"ds_uvput() - Write failed for record id ..." error occurs when
a server job writes a record into a hash file migrated from 7.X
    to 9.1 using fnuxi command.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The next split value stored in a dynamic file's header is a
64-bit quantity for a 64BIT dynamic file. The fnuxi tool was
converting it as a 32-bit value which caused problems when
accessing certain records in the file.

Problem conclusion

  • Treat the next split value as a 64-bit quantity when converting
    a 64BIT dynamic file.

Temporary fix

  • After running fnuxi, also run the following command to fix the
    next split value.

fixtool file filename -level 1 -stop 1 -fix
