APAR status

  • Closed as new function.

Error description

  • When the teradata connector is using the update operator and is
in clean mode if a previous load has failed will run a release
mload on the target table. The effect of this is that an
exclusive lock is taken on the table which can lock other users
from accessing the table for dirty reads.

Customer wuld like an environment variable to control this
behaviour such that if it is set no release mload command is
issued to the target table on the Teradata server.

Local fix

  • Use restart mode, however this has restrictions upon job design.
