Error description

• The ODBC Enterprise write job is failing with the following
  error message.
  [IBM (DataDirect OEM)][ODBC DB2 Wire Protocol driver]String
  data code page conversion failed. Error in parameter 1. (0)
  
  When the job failed, it was noticed that the following error
  messages are seen in the ODBC traces.
  
  1. ODBC Traces showing Error message driver manager:
  DIAG [HY090] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Invalid string or
  buffer length (0)
  
  2. DIAG [HY000] [IBM (DataDirect OEM)][ODBC DB2 Wire Protocol
  driver]String data code page conversion failed. Error in
  parameter 1. (0)
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The ODBC Enterprise write job is failing with the following
  error message.
  [IBM (DataDirect OEM)][ODBC DB2 Wire Protocol driver]String data
  code page conversion failed. Error in parameter 1. (0)
  

Problem conclusion

• Un-initialized buffer was causing any value to be passed.
  For ODD and -ve value SQLGetInfoW function call was failing.
  Standards says value should be either 0 or EVEN number.
