JR44921: MWB LINEAGE RESULTS IN HTTP REQUEST ERROR WHEN SERVER IS BUSY

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Error: Action Failed Service Request Failed: HTTP request error
  [Server.Error.Request]
  
  The error happens when the Workbench is communicating with the
  Server (Application Server) to retireve the data to render the
  Lineage Graph, and there is either an extended time-out or loss
  of network connection.
  
  The extended time-out can be explained when the Server is busy
  handling other requests including Data Lineage or Queries from
  MWB.
  
  MWB is looking to address this in a future release, where the
  underlying Lineage infrastructure will be updated.
  

Local fix

• If user waits a few seconds, they can re-fresh or re-try
  their Lineage request and it will work.
  

Problem summary

• The error happens when the Workbench is communicating with the
  Server (Application Server) to retireve the data to render the
  Lineage Graph, and there is either an extended time-out or loss
  of network connection.
  

Problem conclusion

• Patch rollup_RU2_MWB_all_8700-1 has been delivered to resolve
  the issue.
