• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Metadata Workbench has an issue with the usage of
  paramters within Insert and Update Statements
  
  The issue related to the display
  of warnings or errors witihin the log, giving the impression the
  Stage was being ignored during the Automated Services.
  
  The issue was found that either Default Values where missing, or
  the Default Value contained an incomplete SQL statment.  It may
  be possibly that only using operational metadata - where the SQL
  statment (parameterized) passed can be parsed successfuly.

Problem summary

• Lineage is not working while using user defined SQL with insert
  and update statements
  

Problem conclusion

• Applying the patch will address the specific issue of user
  defined SQL within DS which references an insert and update
  script.
