Error description

  • On the parallel canvas in Inf. Server 8.5, column mappings in
    the Slowly Changing Dimension (SCD) Stage  are
    corrupted when input columns are added between existing columns.
    

Local fix

  • Workaround:
    Drop the new column on the white spaces in the output window
    instead of between two columns.
    

Problem summary

  • On the parallel canvas in Information Server 8.5, output column
    mappings are corrupted when input columns are inserted between
    existing output columns.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The actual issue is caused by column index mapping.  When input
    column(s) is inserted into the output columns list between two
    columns the column index is changed for the columns after the
    newly inserted column(s).  If the index is still used for column
    lookup then it causes error.
