Error description
In presence of a large number of job parameters the "masking code in DSEXECUTE" damages seriously the performance of DSEXECUTE (or "Execute Command Activity" in a job sequence).
Local fix
Set DS_EXECUTE_NO_MASKING to 1.
Problem summary

The original implementation made an unnecessarily large number of calls to certain routines. ****************************************************************
Problem conclusion
The code to hide encrypted parameters was rewritten to make it significantly more efficient. All required information was retrieved in two calls to the server rather than processing parameters on-by-one.
Temporary fix
A temporary resolution can be achieved by turning off the code which does encrypted parameter masking. This is done by setting the environment variable DS_EXECUTE_NO_MASKING
