Error description
While using IMAM to get the view expression from the Sybase server using the ODBC Connector, the view expression is not imported
Local fix
Problem summary
While trying to import the views from the Sybase database, the view expression is not retrieved. This is because, in the query in which we are trying to retrieve the view expression, we were using the CAPITALIZED names for the column names of some of the system tables. Since, sybase is case sensitive by default, the query was failing and the error was silently ignored and hence the view expression was not retrieved. Once this was corrected, we have noticed that the full expression was not retrieved in a single SQLFetch. Hence, we have to loop through all the result sets to get the complete view expression, when the query returned multiple result sets.
Problem conclusion
Altered the query to correctly retrieve the view expression for the view.
