APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Information server 8.5 Import Export manager is unable to create
a result.txt file under
InformationServer\Clients\MetaBrokersAndBridges\IBM WebSphere
Metadata Server MetaBroker and as a result it could not proceed
to next screen where we add dsn details and hence could not
import table info from external sources into information server

Local fix

  • Create an empty result.txt under the folder
InformationServer\Clients\MetaBrokersAndBridges\IBM WebSphere
Metadata Server MetaBroker

Problem summary

  • Unable to perform imports using the IEM in Citrix environment as
Result.txt file (which is used to validate the user credentials)
is not getting created for few user profiles.

Problem conclusion

  • Modified the IEM to remove dependency of Result.txt as a way of
user credential validation
