Error description

  • While using the IBM DB2 Native driver with ODBC EE stage, in
    upsert/insert only with a reject link, the following problems
    are encountered:
    1) Performance is low compared to the same job run using the
    DataDirect DB2 Wire Protocol driver
    2) Duplicate rows are getting inserted when the table doesn't
    have a unique key constraint / warnings are issued

Problem summary

  • ODBC Enterprise Upsert/Insert only with reject link jobs show
    the following two problems while using IBM DB2 Native driver.
    1) Duplicate rows will get inserted if the table doesn't contain
    unique / primary key constraint
    2) The performance of the upsert/insert only with reject link
    jobs is very slow when compared with the performance of the same
    job using the DataDirect DB2 Wire Protocol driver.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Code has been corrected to turn off atomic operations at the DB2
    side when the upsert/insert only with reject jobs use the IBM
    DB2 Native driver.
