APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Parallel job with ColumnExport stage which includes an "Export
Column Maximum Length" option will have different behaviours
depending on the order of the  -maxLength argunment in the
export dsx file.

Local fix

  • Placing the -maxLength argument needs to be right after the
-type argument in the  "## Operator options" section in the dsx
file

Problem summary

  • The ColumnExport operator expects the -maxLength option to
immediately follow the -type options but the paralel job
compiler does not guarantee this.

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed parallel job compiler to check order of ColumnExport
options and ensure that -maxLength immediately follows -type
option.
