  • Character set conversion does not work for Oracle Connector bulk
load operation in Server jobs

This Oracle Connector APAR will not resolve the issue reported
unless SE Bridge patch JR41496 is also applied.

Problem summary


    

  • Oracle Connector in Bulk Load mode on Server canvas corrupting
some characters if not using unicode.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Oracle Connector was fixed to notify the Server canvas
framework of the NLS_LANG value. The Server canvas framework
was also fixed to use this NLS_LANG characterset to perform
character conversion. This was already happening for non-bulk
load write operations in the Oracle Connector.
