  • Oracle Connector View data, Table Import and other CAS functions
do not work on some versions of Solaris

Local fix

Problem summary


    

  • Prior version of the Solaris operating system did not
require the Oracle Connector to build against the standard C
libraries. More recent version of the Solaris operating system
now require we build with the Solaris standard C libraries. This
problem is only reproducible when using CAS functions such as
View Data or the Connector MetaData Import Wizard with the
Oracle Connector. This is because when running jobs, other
libraries are automatically importing the standard C libraries.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The fix is to rebuild the Solaris Oracle Connector library
against the Solaris standard C libraries.
