JR41475: PDR reimport in IA by adding new fields fails with com.ascential.xmeta.exception.data.ImportConstraintViolationException

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Information Analyzer is used as a new data quality tool, checks
  performed against and based on rules and sql-views, whenever
  user implements complex rules that need new fields within a view
  they add it to the view.
  However in Information Analyzer user is not able to import the
  new field of these views. They have to delete the rules and
  views and the import the changed view again. After doing this
  user is able to import a backup of the rules but all outputs
  will
  not work anymore, these have to be written again.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• When physical data resources are re-imported in Information
  Analyzer after adding new field to source data it fails with the
  following error:

Problem conclusion

• The merge rules used while importing physical data resources are
  modified to combine the imported Aliases of a common model
  object with the existing Aliases in the repository.
