Error description

  • Information Server DataStage 8.1 FP1 on Suse Linux, when jobs
are run, the RT files (RT_LOG, RT_STATUS, RT_CONFIG) are
becoming corrupted.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • RT_LOG files can become corrupted when multiple instances of a
job are run simultaneously.  The errors generally seen are
"Computed blink of xxx does not match expected blink of
yyy!" or "Found buffer on freechain that is marked as in
use."

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Added code to verify that buffers are split and appended
successfully.
