JR40980: INCORRECT WARNING ABOUT NULLABILITY FOR NON NULLABLE STRING FIELDS IN NETEZZA EE STAGE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Even though the string fields in Netezza database are created
  with not nullable setting and the Netezza EE stage properties
  also mention not nullable, the job logs a warning as follows:
  
  Netezza_Enterprise_1: When checking operator: When validating
  import schema: At field "C2": Importing potential null to not
  nullable field
  ----
  
  I believe customer is looking for a patch on IS 8.5, AIX
  platform. Please confirm/correct the same.
  
  Steps to reproduce the problem:
  create a table in Netezza database with:
  
  create table test65391 (c1 integer not null primary key, c2
  varchar(10) not null) ;
  
  Create a Netezza EE Read job with this table and columns tab
  mentioning Nullable set to No
  Execute the job and notice the above warning message.
