JR40924: XML file export from BG admin fails to import with with com.ascential.xmeta.exception.usage.ObjectNotTrackedException

Error description

  • Bug in asset import service. Problem happens when a BusinessTerm
in the repository is match with imported BusinesTerm but he
repository term is referencing to a ACL linkpoint. Asset import
code loads the linkpoint but this reference is marked for
deletion in autoDeleteReference which is set by an option by the
BG code. Due to a bug asset import code, loads the ACL linkpoint
as transient Stub object but then because of auto delete
reference it attempts to delete it.  Since the ACL stub object
is transient, deletion fails causing the import failure.

Problem summary

  • when imported object matches a repository object which is
referenced by a linkpoint object and this reference is passed in
as an option in the autoDeleteReference collection.
 This causes the linkpoint to be loaded as transient stub object
which is later deleted causing ObjectNotTrackedException.


 Similar error may be seen in the log:

Problem conclusion

  • xmeta-asset code fixed to not delete transient stub object.
