APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • DataStage - When datastage jobs wait in Loadlveler queue for
more than 5 mins and gets released to run, they are not seeing
JobMon stats for that job from both datastage director and
    designerjob.

Local fix

  • NO Workaround

Problem summary

  • DSD_OshMonitor process is launched when parallel job is queued
in a grid environment. This process requests monitoring
information from JobMonApp. The request fails because the job
has not actually started after 5mins of retrying it gives up.
becasue of the job monitoring information is not avalable.

Problem conclusion

  • This change will allow the DSD.OshMonitor startup retry period
to be configured via an environment variable
OSHMON_INIT_RETRY which should be set to an integer value, in
    seconds, greater than 300.

Temporary fix
