APAR status

Error description

  • Random issue when importing objects using ISTools/ISManager :
"<Object_name>.pjb Failed: [Unexpected error
importing runtime. See the log in the Web Console for more
details.]"

On the server log, the following exception is raised :
java.rmi.ServerException: RemoteException occurred in server
thread; nested exception is:
java.rmi.MarshalException: CORBA BAD_PARAM 0x4f4d0006 Maybe;
nested exception is:
java.io.NotSerializableException:
com.ascential.ds4j.impl.ProjectImpl is not serializable

Problem summary


    

  • Customer sees intermittent failures re-importing large numbers
of Job executables using istools

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Problem could not be reproduced in a debuggable environment and
enabling trace code caused the problem to disappear. Minor
modifications changed the frequency of occurrence and customer
requested this patch to deliver a slightly modified version that
reduced the frequency
