JR40271: Virtual table is not created when using the HTTP/CLI API if the base table contains a period in the name. No error is returned.

Error description

• Issues when creating a Virtual table in Information Analyzer
  through REST API/CLI (Not from Information Analyzer GUI
  Console). This happens when the base table has a "." contained
  in the table name.
  
  When the metadata of filename.csv file is imported
  into IA the Table Name will appear as customer.csv. when
  creating a Virtual table of one or two columns based on the base
  table by submitting a xml file through an Project update request
  from REST API, it throws an error or is unable to create a
  Virtual table.
  
  However, If the base table fiename to 'customer'  instead of
  "customer.csv" , they are able to create a Virtual table without
  any issues.
  
  
  The command used is -
  ./IAAdmin.sh -user <username> -password <password> -host
  hostname -port port# -update -projectContent
  /pathtoXMLFile/XMLFiename.xml
  

Local fix

• The filename should not have a ".". For example instead of
  customer.csv it should be renames as customer

Problem conclusion

• Schema, table and column names that contained the period
  character were being parsed incorrectly.
